One of the trickiest and most elusive things in our lives is the line between the vehicles to and destinations of our desires. The typical example is money: money isn’t what we really want, it’s what we can do with the money that we want. Money is a vehicle, or a means to an end, but not an end in itself–a destination. I don’t believe in a soulmate. I think of love as a product of time, compatibility, and passion. Two and a half years into my relationship I’m as in love as I’ve ever been and more in love than ever with another. Is she the one? Well, she’s a rare girl who really complements me and has maintained my interest for quite some time. (more…)
