You should, Kate! I'll be looking out for some mail ;-).

On a related note, I think that the mere availability of easier means of (instant) communication can lead to less communication. Sort of like how we write/call less now that you're in the area...but that it's not proportional to how often we get together. I've found that with other friends when they move closer, too. It's an interesting little psychological ploy...

i'm guilty of this myself. i do miss the hand-written letter, but we're just skipping so quickly down the path of instant gratification and fasterleanerquickerbetter, it's hard not to get pulled along with the current.

you know what i think i should do? buy some nice stationary. (stationery? internal spell check broken.) nothing too ridiculous, but something nicer than a piece of looseleaf paper to send might help motivate.

So next time I pour my heart out, it'll be to you, Kira. Be forewarned.

And you're right though, two stamps for a dollar is just plain ridiculous. If I only worked at Amazon...I bet they have some way to beat the system.

I wrote two letters to friends last month, because I wanted to do something more meaningful than write an email.

When I went to mail them, I had no idea how much stamps cost nowadays.
