• 1.29.06 "Swing dance coverage in the Post Magazine" is posted in Reflections

It’s wonderful to see swing dance getting a feature article in the Washington Post Magazine. The fact is that there’s an enormous dance scene, a world in itself, here in DC and it’s one that really does merit that kind of attention. • 1.26.06 "Photos tell a story of another time…" is posted in Photos, Too, Reflections, Relationships

I’ve been sorting and deleting over 5000 photos…with the intent of getting down to the most meaningful or creative 1000 or so. It’s a difficult task for a number of reasons. First of all, it tells the tale of so much of your life…and you don’t want to move too fast. Second, some of those stories are from another time and it’s just a little emotional. And lastly, deciding which photos stay is choosing what to say goodbye to certain things.
