I don’t believe in a soulmate. I think of love as a product of time, compatibility, and passion. Two and a half years into my relationship I’m as in love as I’ve ever been and more in love than ever with another. Is she the one? Dependability is such a tough concept.  Who can we really trust?  The good thing about focusing on work (paid work, schoolwork, etc.), is that it’s usually our own responsibility.  I mean, we all like to be hard on others, but it’s just not as rewarding.  Much as we’d like to pretend, we can’t change others.  But we can always learn, grow, make money, and do what we need ourselves for.  Egoistic, eh? There’s quite a bit of irony in us spending $100,000+ for an institution to kick our asses and get us to learn. Justin’s at the law library at Duke (yeah, right now, trust me), Kim’s studying Greek philosophy translated into French, and Sam’s spent 2 hours/day for six weeks preparing for the LSATs.
