    • Wow, what a wonderful day this has turned out to be. Don’t even bother to read the shit below this. I submitted the thing about weightlifting and physical relationships to Kuro5shin, and it didn’t decently well… but it was a piece of crap. Some people were correcting me, so I decided to try again. And I wrote what I consider to be a wonderful piece. I wrote it in a half hour and it seems to be doing well. You can check it out here.   • 7.31.01 "Don’t Mess with the Motivation" is posted in Reflections
    • My writing here has really gone downhill, ever since the beginning of the summertime. There are just less people in my life that either amuse or disappoint me. Sure, I could go on about the things I’ve learned with regards to dance. I could take a stance on some of the controversial stuff in the media. But that’s simple. And it gets old after a little while. I want to write about the things that apply to everyday life, can have an impact on most people, and are worth taking five minutes out of your day to read.     • We all try to take bits and pieces of the things we learn, apply them to our own lives, and then move on. This approach works, so long as we’re able to extract the right bits and pieces. If someone says “the key to fitness is going to the gym and lifting weights,” you could skim off “going to the gym,” as that’s inessential, but you can’t ignore the “lifting weights.” That’s a simple example, but sometimes it’s not so easy.
