A Little R&R
Rest is so important. Maybe I’m just saying that because I’m taking four weeks off. But it’s nice. I’d been exhausted at my last few dances, during school… and then dancing last night was awesome. After having eaten healthy, slept, and exercised all week, dancing for 3 hours straight was a breeze.
And it’s so nice to be able to do what you want to do. Working out, cooking for yourself, writing, reading, catching up on a hobby, following the news, and being with your family are things that seem to come in small quantities… but now I have time for all of them. It’s nice. I’ve learned a bunch of songs on guitar, hung out with my mom a lot, had smoothies every morning, read Ayn Rand’s Anthem in a day, added a lot to the website, been to the gym a few times…and I even know what’s going on in the world. Me, me, me… it’s nice to relax.
But I suppose this doesn’t excite you very much–you who’s working right now, either because you don’t get the summer off or because summer is the time to worsk and pay off all the debt you accumulated over the school year… well, oh well, I’m young and I’m gonna enjoy my last summer off… at least until I leave for Tennessee in three weeks. Life is good. I’m gonna go take a nap.
