Keeping with the same topic, here’s a random thought: with all the time you’ve accumulated in front of a mirror, have you spent more of that looking into your eyes or at the rest of your body?

“Do they really look like that? Wow…cool.” That’s what Krista said when I took a picture of her eyes, which is here on the left. She’s not alone in her near disbelief. We’ve seen the eyes of everyone we know, but rarely pay much attention to them. The same applies for the majority of people’s physical traits. With me, I’m terrible at describing the way people look, so if I want to depict them I need to make an effort to remember specific traits. In my last relationship I wanted to be able to draw her face without any guidance, to be sure I could remember the details. (more…)
