Need a Little Rhythm
I’m going to the Supreme Court tomorrow as a field trip for my Philosophy of Law (PHIL447) class… but I almost wish I could go to classes. Have you ever felt like a little routine would get you back on track? I don’t love going to class from 9:30 to 4:45, but it does give me some focus. It gets my mind off women and dance and guitar and photography and all the other distractions I call my life. I need to get back in the rhythm of classes, going to the gym, eating 3 meals each day, etc…
Time always seems to fly, but when I’m in class I feel like I’m making tangible accomplishments. This summer I’m probably going to be in Boston after all, working part time and working on my own projects. I’m not a little worried about working for myself, but I want to try it. I just get so distracted. I hate that.
Nick was just showing me his pictures from Cancun. I can understand taking a vacation like that, my Dad even recommended taking a break. But I don’t take time off like that. It’s just not me. Tama questioned why I don’t like to let go of myself in that way, and I don’t know the definite answer. Dance and writing are some of my forms of expression. I’ve never partied, and I don’t have any desire to. But I digress…
Again, I’m just throwing out the idea that sometimes we need a rhythm to get us motivated. This dance-sleep-dance-sleep thing is not all I’m living for, and I really need to get my head back on straight and figure out about my summer and my classes and such. In the mean time, here’s something to keep you distracted: www.iwantanewgirlfriend.com. You can imagine what’s on my mind… goodnight.
