Thanks to You

I want to thank some people and I want to talk a little about myself. I’ve met some great some great people this semester. Kristy and Rachel, you girls are awesome. I’ve never been so entertained in a class before :). Lindsay, Monique, and Amy… wow, so beautiful and fun. Meeting you all in such an intimate setting (yeah improv!) was amazing and I hope that we’ll all stay close next semester. Ben and Katie, you guys are so cute and it’s great to have you in Denton. Jack, you’re the man. Natalie, thanks for always helping me out when I needed ya. Ricki and Tama, you may be far away but your wisdom and conversation make life livable. And of course, Marina, Justin, and Amanda, thanks for always being there — tried and true.

You’ll notice a lot of girls in that above paragraph. Well, after finding out something that kind of hurt last night I’m glad that all those names are friends. I don’t know that I am or am not ready for a relationship, but I’d better damn be sure before I take that chance. Emotions are dangerous and fragile…emotions ARE us. And there’s no sense in playing with people.

A few of you that are reading this have heard this before and while at the time I was hesitant now I’m happy with my decision. Because I wasn’t ready, either because of the timing or the context. So why am I saying all this? Just to reiterate one more time the ever-neglected truism: there’s no reason not to be single. And there’s no reason to settle. I’m . I have a long way to go.
